Oracle Park's marine layer can turn would-be homers into routine fly balls, especially for afternoon starts when the conditions are at their thickest. Both teams have been grinding out lower-scoring affairs lately, and this number feels inflated by casual bettors expecting offensive fireworks.

The runline presents an interesting puzzle. Taking Pittsburgh -1.5 at plus money could pay if they're legitimately better than this line suggests, but road favorites covering runlines is always dicey. The Giants getting 1.5 runs at home feels safer, even if I'm not thrilled about laying -115.
